Al & Ann Stohlman Award Nominations
The Al & Ann Stohlman Foundation is accepting nominations for the 2027 Al & Ann Stohlman Awards. If you would like to nominate someone for this award, please consider carefully the following criteria.
Al Stohlman Award
The Al Stohlman Award honors a leather worker for his or her involvement in leather-related organizations, published works, experimentation with new ideas, application, skill level, dedication to the craft, willingness to teach the craft, and sharing freely of his or her knowledge with others, following the example set by Al Stohlman.
Ann Stohlman Award
The Ann Stohlman Award honors a young leather worker who is 18 years or younger when nominated and who has demonstrated progress, artistic development, and dedication to leathercraft.
Nominations for both awards open on September 1, 2026, and close October 31, 2026. Portfolios from those who accept their nominations will be accepted beginning October 1, 2026 through January 31, 2026.
You can also nominate a leatherworker for either award by mail. You must include the person you are nominating’s name, reason for their nomination, their email, and your name and email.
